Our current lights will bring light to the streets for at least 20 years. But what happens after that?

With our circular products and solutions, we ensure that your lighting remains sustainable and efficient in the long term - and that the individual components can be used for as long as possible.

For light with a future.

Luma gen1 UP - the first circular street light

With the upgrade kit, the Luma gen1 is converted into a future-proof LED luminaire and the aluminum housing can still be used. The Ledgine-O technology adapts seamlessly to the original design and offers a complete technical renewal while retaining the same look.

The modernized luminaire is ready for connection to a lighting management system for efficient data management, intelligent, energy-saving control and easy maintenance and servicing.

This gives existing luminaires a new lease of life - sustainably, responsibly and with low emissions.

Successful pilot project in Grenchen

We carried out our pilot project together with SWG in Grenchen (SO). The Solothurn municipality was one of the first to use the Interact City lighting management system and is now a pioneer in the field of circular economy. Andreas Messerli, Head of Operations + Maintenance Electricity, explains how this came about: "Unfortunately, until now, the lighting sector was designed for "line use" and the luminaire was disposed of after use, i.e. in the event of an electrotechnical defect. When we heard about ELEKTRON's first circulation luminaire, it was immediately clear to us that we would go for it. The idea of circular luminaires fits perfectly with our goal of using materials as sustainably as possible."

The converted luminaires are as good as new and of the same quality as a complete replacement. This is why we will carry out this conversion on all LED luminaires in future when they reach the end of their technical life.
