75 Years of Elektron: It Wasn't Just Dodo That Made the Anniversary Celebration a Memorable Event

Over 500 guests, Dodo as a special guest, beaming faces, and a very special gift: To mark its 75th anniversary, Elektron AG hosted an event on June 27 at the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute in Rüschlikon. The celebration wasn’t just about the company’s anniversary—it was a celebration of the people who have shaped the company over the past 75 years.
Normally, the technology company Elektron electrifies Switzerland with its smart solutions. On this day, it electrified its guests—with a celebration full of encounters and surprises.
A custom Elektron song as the highlight
The biggest highlight of the evening was Dodo’s performance. The Swiss musician, producer, and host of “Sing meinen Song – Das Schweizer Tauschkonzert” is one of the country’s best-known and most successful artists. The fact that he performed in such an intimate setting as part of the anniversary celebration was a special experience for the guests. Everyone sang, danced, and laughed together—a moment that will remain in many people’s memories.
Finally, a surprise gave everyone goosebumps: Dodo performed a song written specifically for Elektron. Together with Elektron employee Predrag Engi and Michael Waldvogel from the Tollkisch agency, he sang the song in front of an audience for the first time. It’s hard to express appreciation in a more personal way.

But even away from the main stage, it was clear just how much care Elektron had put into organizing this day for its guests. Employees, their families, customers, and partners all enjoyed the hot summer day together. Children ran from attraction to attraction, while performers, a magician, and comedians wowed the crowd in keeping with the circus theme. The food stands offered everything the heart could desire, from burgers to cupcakes, and in the photo bus, guests could capture their best moments right then and there.
A fake SRF team also drew plenty of laughs, playfully tricking the guests with their humor and presenting an entertaining “10 vor 10” segment about the day that evening.

“We simply wanted to say thank you to our employees, their families, our customers, and our partners,” says CEO Enrico Baumann. “The celebration was meant to reflect Elektron’s spirit: innovative and professional, but also warm and approachable. Looking back on this day and all the smiling faces, I believe we succeeded.”
