The municipality of Biberist (SO) is refurbishing to networked LED luminaires across its entire area. During the refurbishment, energy savings, ensuring basic lighting and simple monitoring of the many light points were in the foreground. Thus, in addition to the more than 1200 new Luma luminaires, the Interact City lighting management system was also introduced in the Solothurn community. The proven lighting management system allows ITB to control the luminaires from the office and keep an eye on their smooth operation at all times.

The fact that the municipality implemented the refurbishment before the 2022 energy crisis immediately benefited them. In Biberist, energy-saving measures could be implemented simply & straightforwardly.

A lot has happened since the beginning of LED lights - not only technologically in the lights but also on the streets of Solothurn:
