Whoever has suitable roof and facade surfaces, it is best to install a photovoltaic system and cover his electricity consumption in the long term at calculable and stable costs. The combination of the PV system with a suitable storage solution makes it possible to use the self-produced solar energy exactly when it is needed. Even at night, when the sun is not shining.
This allows you to increase your level of self-consumption and not have to feed excess electricity back into the grid or purchase electricity at a high cost.
The more expensive grid electricity, the more economical solar storage becomes.
The following graph shows the electricity production and consumption of a company with a consistent electricity consumption. Half of its electricity demand of 1 MWh per day is covered by solar power from its own roof. Thanks to a battery storage system, independence can be significantly increased once again.
The green area shows the surplus of solar power on a sunny day. It corresponds approximately to the night demand of this farm (both red areas). By opting for the use of a hybrid inverter and solar storage batteries, the solar power can be stored during the day and consumed the following night.
Finally, larger hybrid inverters up to 50 kW with integrated emergency power output are also available. Store electricity "almost" without limit.
